About me

Hey! I’m Zack, a grad student at McMaster University. I study archaeology but I have a varied interdisciplinary perspective. Some of my interests include the history and cultural attitudes relating to mind-altering substances, human-technology interaction, public archaeology and public outreach of academics in general, the role of tech in libraries and museums, and visions and expectations of the future and the subsequent realities that occur. I’m a big fan of sci-fi television and movies, I drink way too much coffee, I’m a ‘mac guy’, and I’m somewhat active on twitter.

This blog was started during my 4th year at Carleton University when I was writing my undergraduate thesis [PDF]. This blog will be used to document some of my thoughts, mainly dealing with ideas relating to my work. Some other stuff will pop up from time to time as well.
